
The boys went undefeated during the tournament games.
Top plays included:
- An inside the park homerun by captain Chris Accardi that gave the Royals a come-from-behind, 4-3 victory in the final game against the Keady Jets.
- A winning RBI from Bradley Bonnell followed by a clutch walk from outfielder James Moorcroft, with shortstop Jonathan Selvakumar adding a run.
- Top pitcher and co-captain Cody Skelton came on in relief to seal the victory.
At the tournament the Royals beat the Wiarton Red Devils 4-1, Frontenac Cyclones 7-4 and the Keady Jets 6-1, 4-3.
"They stuck together and proved to everyone that they're the best team in Ontario," said head coach Tom Cantwell.
"It was a complete team effort. Everyone did their part. This is a great group of kids and they worked extremely hard. They deserved it."
